Domestic Violence Awareness

Domestic violence is an unfortunate reality that occurs within every class, age group, race, and religion. It happens in families, friendships, and intimate relationships. Intimate partner violence, or IPV, happens within the same and different sex partnerships; it happens whether you're married, living together, or dating.

1 in 4 women have been a victim of domestic violence.

On average, nearly 20 people per minute are physically abused by an intimate partner in the U.S. During one year, this equates to more than 10 million women and men.

1 in 3 women and 1 in 4 men have been victims of some form of physical violence by an intimate partner within their lifetime.

On a typical day, there are more than 20,000 phone calls placed to domestic violence hotlines nationwide.

In domestic violene homicides, women are six times more likely to be killed when there is a gun in the house.

Intimate partner violence accounts for 15% of all violent crimes.

Women between the ages of 18-24 are most commonly abused by an intimate partner.

If you or someone you know is a victim of domestic violence, please report it and/or reach out for help.

One reason I decided to study Aesthetics is because of the correlation of feeling good about yourself physically, makes you feel good about yourself mentally. Too many people have such low self-esteem and this affects all aspects of their lives.
