Dr. Makunda Abdul-Mbacke is a board certified OB-GYN and urogynecologist serving the community of Ridgeway, Virginia at her practice, Piedmont Preferred Women’s Healthcare. Dr. Abdul-Mbacke provides unparalleled lifelong care to women of all ages by providing services including gynecology care, ultrasounds, birth and delivery, STD testing, colposcopy, minimally invasive surgeries, and treatments for menopause and urinary incontinence.
According to her parents, Dr. Abdul-Mbacke announced her dream of becoming a doctor at the age of three. With the support of her family, friends, and community, she achieved her goal: Dr. Abdul-Mbacke earned her bachelor’s degree and her medical degree from Yale University and also holds a master’s degree in public health from Harvard University. She served her residency in obstetrics and gynecology at Magee Women’s Hospital in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, and she’s now a fellow of the American College of Obstetrics and Gynecology.
Dr. Abdul-Mbacke has dedicated her life to helping other women protect and improve their health and wellbeing. She provides comprehensive and compassionate gynecological services to women at all stages of their lives, from adolescence to post-menopause. Her straightforward and compassionate approach to patient care helps her patients understand changes in their health and figure out how best to improve or maintain their wellbeing.
